Advanced Recovery Fee

California has a ban on electronic devices including computers, laptops, televisions, monitors, printers, and various other electronic devices. The ban became effective 2/1/2006.

Advanced Recovery Fee System

Consumers pay retailers a set fee at the point for purchase for any new covered electronic device. Fee money goes to the state to be used to reimburse recyclers and collectors of covered electronic devices. Only advanced recovery fee e-waste program in the U.S.
